# HLR - Home Location Register

#### HLR - Home Location Register

The Home Location Register (HLR) is a central database in a mobile network that contains details of each mobile phone subscriber. It stores essential information such as:

* Subscriber profiles
* Current location
* Service subscriptions
* Authentication information

The HLR ensures that calls, SMS, and other services are delivered to the correct subscriber, regardless of their current location within the network.
