#### Mobile Switching Center (MSC)

The Mobile Switching Center (MSC) is a critical network element in a mobile telecommunications system responsible for performing call routing, call setup, and subscriber management. 

It interfaces with other networks such as public switched telephone networks (PSTN) and manages handovers between base stations to ensure seamless connectivity for mobile users.
